Position Summary
Defender Industries is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Operations Support Assistant to support our Operations Support team. This entry-level position plays an important role in ensuring customer orders are processed efficiently and accurately while assisting with administrative tasks related to order fulfillment, drop shipments, and returns.
The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and is comfortable communicating with vendors, customers, and internal team members through email and various business systems.

Office - This position is primarily based in a fast-paced call center or customer service office environment, where employees spend most of their time using a phone and computer. The workspace can be moderately noisy due to frequent phone conversations and general office activity. This may occasionally require the employee to visit our retail store or warehouse, which may involve navigating different physical environments and standing or walking for short periods. Flexibility and adaptability to various work settings are important for success in this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Confirm Amazon marketplace orders and ensure order information is accurate and complete.
- Monitor and follow up on drop shipment orders with vendors to ensure timely fulfillment and delivery.
- Send email reminders and communications related to customer orders, vendor follow-ups, and operational processes.
- Assist the Returns Coordinator with daily returns processing and related administrative tasks.
- Support the Operations Support team with general administrative duties and special projects as assigned.
- Maintain accurate records and update information in company systems.
- Communicate professionally with internal departments and external partners to resolve routine issues and obtain information.
- Assist with order tracking, status updates, and documentation as needed.
- Help ensure operational tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior customer service, administrative, retail, or office experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
- Basic computer proficiency, including email and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to learn company systems and processes.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Marine or boating industry experience is a plus but not required.
